Die intraoperative Darstellung und gezielte Resektion von Lymphknoten wurde erstmals im Jahre 1992 für das maligne Melanom beschrieben [27]. Mittlerweile ist die Sentinellymphonodektomie (SLNE) Standard in der onkologischen Chirurgie. Hierbei werden Wächter(Sentinel)-Lymphknoten markiert und gezielt entfernt, um eine Aussage über den Nodalstatus ohne die Notwendigkeit einer kompletten, systematischen Lymphonodektomie (LNE) zur erhalten. Auch bei gynäkologischen Malignomen einschließlich des Mammakarzinoms findet die SLNE seit langem Anwendung [2, 14, 15, 42]. …

In der MONARCHE-3-Studie lebten Frauen mit fortgeschrittenem Hormonrezeptor-positivem, HER2-negativem Brustkrebs länger, wenn sie zusätzlich zu einem nicht steroidalen Aromatasehemmer mit Abemaciclib behandelt wurden; allerdings verfehlte der numerische Zugewinn die statistische Signifikanz.
