Zusammenfassung

CED sind keine psychosomatischen Erkrankungen (psychische Faktoren sind Mitursache der Erkrankung) im engeren Sinne. Der Krankheitsverlauf und die Therapie können zu psychischen und sozialen Belastungen der Patienten führen (somatopsychische Erkrankung). Seelische Faktoren (Stress, Depression) können einen ungünstigen Einfluss auf den Krankheitsverlauf haben (psychosomatische Erkrankung im weiteren Sinne). Gastroenterologen sollen psychosoziale Belastungen durch die CED und psychologische Behandlungswünsche der Patienten erfassen. Außerdem sollten behandelnde Ärzte auf die Möglichkeit einer Unterstützung durch Selbsthilfeorganisationen hinweisen. Eine psychotherapeutische Behandlung soll CED-Patienten mit psychischen Begleiterkrankungen empfohlen und aktiv vermittelt werden. Antidepressiva können gastrointestinale und seelische Beschwerden lindern. Eine Kooperation von Gastroenterologen und ärztlichen und psychologischen Psychotherapeuten mit Erfahrung in der psychosozialen Betreuung von CED-Patienten ist sinnvoll.
