Viele Parameter beeinflussen unsere Entscheidung, ob und wie wir Patienten behandeln. Neben den Laborwerten und Krankheitsparametern ist der Allgemeinzustand für die Therapieentscheidung von zentraler Bedeutung - insbesondere bei älteren Patienten. Geriatrische Assessments sind hier nicht bloß ein „hilfreiches Tool“, sondern als Entscheidungsbasis obligat.
